On January 13, 2010 Voice of the Wetlands joined LSU's Coastal Roots, Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries and forty-nine 7th grade students from St. Martin's Episcopal in New Orleans to plant 500 cypress trees in Point-aux-Chenes in Terrebonne Parish.
This was the first in many plantings VOW and LSU's Coastal Rootshave planned for the Louisiana wetlands, taking on the challenge to preserve our coast and home.
